I Henry Kidner of the parish of Saffron Walden in the county of Essex being now of sound mind memory & understanding and bearing in mind the mortality of my body so make and publish this my last will and testament that is to say I recommend my soul to God who gave it me and I desire that my body may be devoutly buried and a tomb stone placed over my remains at the discretion of my executor.

And as to this worldly property of mine I give and bequeath all and every monies securities for money ffurniture goods chattels the personal Estate and Effects whatsoever and wheresoever that I may die possessed of my executor in trust for him to pay all my just debts funeral expenses the probate of this my will and such other expenses as shall be just and reasonable.

And I give unto Richard Horton of Saffron Walden in the county of Essex whom I shall here appoint my executor for him to retain and keep for his own private use the sum of thirty pounds of lawful money of this realm as an acknowledgement from me for his time and trouble in executing these my wishes.

And I give and bequeath all the rest residue and remainder of my property of every description whatsoever and wheresoever unto my nephew Jesse Kidner of the parish of Saffron Walden in the county of Essex for his own private use if he is living when I die but if he is at such time dead then such rest residue and remainder of my property I bequeath to be equally divided between my said Nephew's wife Mary and such of my said Nephew's children as shall then be living such share as may be due to my said Nephew's wife Mary to be paid to her within twelve months after my decease and the shares due to my said Nephew's children to be paid to them as they shall severally attain the age of twenty one years save and except any money or monies that my Executor shall deem necesary to be paid previously out of such shares or amount of their illness education or apprenticeship such money as may be so expended to be deduct ed from such child's share on whose account the money was paid.

I hereby constitute or nominate and appoint Richard Horton of the parish of Saffron Walden in the county of Essex my sole Executor whom I authorise and empower to demand and receive and if necessary to take legal steps to recover all and every of my properties well and personal that may be due to me at my demise to make all proper payments and to act and be in all other respects as Executors are generally accustomed to. And it is my wish that my Executor shall be accountable for no more monies effects and propertys than shall come to his hands unless through his own wilful neglect.

And I now utterly disallow revoke and disannul all and every other former wills testaments and bequests by me in any ways before named willed & bequeathed. And I also ratify and confirm this to be my last will and testament and no other. In witness whereof I hereunto set my hand and seal this seventh day of December one thousand eight hundred and thirty five. Henry Kidner

Proved at London 10th June 1836 before the Worshipful William Robinson Dr of Laws and Surrogate by the oath of Richard Horton the sole Executor to whom Administration was granted having been first sworn duly to administer.

Appendix 111 - Will of Henry Kidner of Saffron Walden

Made on the 7th December 1835 and proved on the 10th June 1836
